Don’t Miss these Insider Career Coaching Tips

Do you find yourself putting in the work but not seeing the results you desire? Are you overwhelmed by the amount of options available to make your dream a reality? Have you found yourself questioning if you are on the right path? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are certainly not alone. With all life choices — especially those pursuing careers in acting — there is a certain amount of unknown that leaves each of us feeling anxious. So what can we do to decrease our unnecessary anxiety and increase our career success?

Today, I want to share with you a very important tool that has taken me from feeling confused and uncertain, to being in control and successful. The secret weapon is having priorities! Stop creating laundry lists of to-do’s and start focusing on what will bring you the highest return on investment. Let me break down what this means: Tonight you could either sit at home and do laundry OR you could attend an industry networking event. While clean clothes are important, why would you miss an opportunity to meet a potential industry pro who could help you get ahead? (You might even get a job from that connection and be able to afford a laundry service in a few months!). This scenario could happen all because you made it your priority to engage in exercises that bring you the greatest amount of success. I have seen it happen!

How do you put my words into action?
1. Make a list of 5 things you would like to accomplish today.
2. Organize them by their respective ROI’s (Return on Investment) and work from the highest to lowest return
3. Watch it all unfold: I promise that the momentum you build from participating in high reward activities will keep you motivated, happy, and on the road to achieving your goals.
