Build A Knockout Acting Resume with These Tips

Building your acting resume is paramount to landing your dream role. Your resume says everything you can’t, in-person, to the casting director. Put your best (professional) foot forward with this step by step guide to a knockout resume!

1. DESIGN – Choose a clean, easy to read template for your resume. Use a standard font, I personally love Calibri, and keep sizing to 11 or 12 points. Most importantly, only use 1 page!

2. CONTENT – Include your professional name (is it your real name or have you chosen a stage name?), your union status, contact information and your work history. List all the roles you have played in chronological order. Lastly, tell people about your skills. Are you a great dancer? Can you sing? Is juggling your hidden talent.

3. DETAILS – Share your personal information including; your age, height, weight, eye color and hair color. You can also include your sizes in shirts, pants, dresses, shoes etc. This takes any guess work out for the casting director!

Get started on your acting resume today! This will be vital to developing your career and defining you as a performer. I am also happy to help with any questions you may have about this process. Email me at Coaching@ClaimFame.com.
