She’s your favorite liar. She is a kick-ass singer. She was almost cast in Fifty Shades of Grey. She is Lucy Hale, a true triple threat in the entertainment industry!
Born in Memphis, TN, Lucy was homeschooled while taking acting and singing lessons. It paid off as she got her start on the show “American Juniors” which was an attempt to capitalize on the “American Idol” phenomenon. Ultimately, she was part of a group made up of the top 5 competitors. When the group disbanded, Lucy moved to Los Angeles to pursue her own record deal but fell in love with acting. She quickly booked roles on “Drake and Josh”, “The O.C.”, “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “How I Met Your Mother”.
Lucy made her big screen debut in “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2” playing Effie, the younger sister to Alexis Bledel’s Lena. A string of bit roles culminated in her being cast as Aria Montgomery in the TV series “Pretty Little Liars”. She has been on the show since 2009 and won a Teen Choice Award for her portrayal in 2010.
Working steadily for over 10 years, Lucy decided to go back to her first love, music, and signed a record deal with Hollywood Records. She released Road Between in 2014, which showcases her country roots and stunning voice. Lucy credits Shania Twain and Faith Hill as being two of her biggest musical influences.
Lucy continues to prove that she is a class act who carries herself with confidence even under the scrutiny of the public eye. Working hard since childhood, Lucy has the musical and acting chops to enjoy a long career in tinsel town. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
