Coaching Tips: 3 Ways to Walk Into Your Audition With Confidence

Are you ready for your big audition? Stepping into a casting call can be filled with excitement and nerves! We want to make sure that you are as prepared and calm as possible before getting in front of a casting director. Whether you are new to the entertainment scene or have been auditioning for years, these three tips will make you the confident star people are dying to cast!

1. Be Prepared – Know as many details about the audition process as possible. Who will you be meeting with? What should you bring? What materials should you prepare? Make sure you know your monologue, song or dance flawlessly. Knowledge is power and being armed with the important information will put your mind at ease when your name is called!

2. Arrive early РThere is nothing worse than feeling rushed. Give yourself the time you need to arrive early to an audition. Not only will you feel less stressed, you will be giving off a good impression to casting directors. No one likes to be kept waiting!

3. Treat Yourself – Before a big audition, treat yourself to a blow out, make up application, shave or haircut. These things will help make you look and feel good. These are the moments to put your best foot forward so invest in yourself!
