3 Tips for a FLAWLESS Audition

We all know it’s easy to pick up bad habits. When you are going on hundreds of auditions to get your big break it’s common to get sloppy. We get stuck in a rut or forget the basics we were taught many moons ago. Today, I want to keep you motivated to put your best foot forward to go on flawless auditions time after time. Check out my three tips for nailing your next audition.

1. Walk The Talk – First things first, know your material! You will WOW people when you know who is directing, fun facts about the show or specific details about the product you are pushing! You will only feel more confident the more educated you are. Give yourself time to prep!

2. It’s in the Details – Read through the audition information carefully! Above all else, follow the directions! Make sure you arrive prepared for what has been requested. Have your monologue memorized, a song prepared or props if needed. Also, never leave home without a headshot and resume! Casting directors want to hire someone who pays attention to the details!

3. Dress the Part – When you look great, you feel great, and you perform better! Put together a killer outfit for your auditions and allow your personality to shine. Do not wear a costume! Invest in a simple ensemble that showcases your natural beauty!

Break a leg!
