It’s a new month and time to make the most of our acting careers! I believe in making things happen and I want you to as well! Here are 4 tips to take control of your acting career in the next 30 days!
- Network – Follow up with everyone you meet. Keep your business cards and social networks organized. Do your best to remember an interesting fact about each person you meet. People will be impressed by your genuine interest and in turn be more helpful in your career.
- Budget – Acting can be expensive. Between classes and headshots you could spend thousands of dollars a year on your career. To keep your finances in check, set aside a certain amount each month to your acting. I recommend using the app Mint. It alerts you to overspending and sends a weekly summary of your cash flow.
- Research – It’s important to hone your craft. Take an acting class, read about acting, and spend time watching classic films. This will only help you to be a better actor.
- Goals – Make sure to set a new goal at the top of every month. Make sure it’s something that you can achieve within 30 days to help keep momentum and a positive attitude. I guarantee that these wins each month will add up to major accomplishments by years end.
